IPhone monument torn down in Russia to combat ‘gay propaganda’

Image
A memorial to Apple founder Steve Jobs has been dismantled in St. Petersburg, Russia, because his successor, Tim Cook, recently came out as being gay. The monument in the shape of an iPhone is over six feet tall. It features an interactive screen with photos, videos and text about Jobs, Apple’s late co-founder. The memorial was erected in January 2013 by a Russian group of companies called ZEFS (West European Financial Union). On November 3, 2014, ZEFS released a statement that the memorial had been removed on Friday to combat “gay propaganda.” The monument was taken down the very next day after Apple CEO Cook had announced he was homosexual. "In Russia, gay propaganda and other sexual perversions among minors are prohibited by law," ZEFS commented, pointing out that the memorial had been "in an area of direct access for young students and scholars". "After Apple CEO Tim Cook publicly called for sodomy, the monument was taken down to abide to the Russian fede...

Cabbage republic of Donbass: Crimea part deux

Image
On November 2, 2014, residents of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in Eastern Ukraine held illegitimate elections , under the watchful eye of Russia-funded militants. The proceedings had all the earmarks of the Putin chapiteau that led up to the annexation of Crimea. Diehard fans of the USSR lined up to receive free cabbage and other cheap vegetables on their way to the polls. Free cabbage got the participants so worked up, they managed to produce 100.1% of votes for the candidates. Afterwards, they gathered to celebrate pseudo-elections in classic Soviet fashion, with music, free food and burly gunmen. FBI agents cut off Internet access to gain entry as repairmen

Image
In an elaborate ruse, FBI agents went undercover at a Las Vegas casino to catch members of an alleged sports betting ring in July 2014. The ring was allegedly headed by 50-year-old Malaysian millionaire and gambling guru Paul Phua. The FBI’s deceptive incursion into a high-roller suite inside Caesars Palace hotel was videotaped from the lapel of one of the agents. The video was recently released by the Associated Press. To gain entry to Phua’s hotel room, the FBI cut off his Internet access, then posed as computer repairmen called in to fix the blackout. Once inside, the agents looked at Phua’s computers, claiming they saw evidence of illegal betting. One of the FBI agents in the video says: "I got the URL for the site they were wagering on." The FBI later returned with a search warrant. They arrested Phua, his son and six others, accusing them of taking millions of dollars in bets on the World Cup. Click it or ticket: Trooper demanded naked photos and sex from female motorists

Image
On October 29, 2014, Bryan D. Lee, 30, a former Trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, pleaded guilty to four counts of violating the civil rights of female motorists and one count of cyber stalking. Lee offered not to ticket the women for traffic violations, in exchange for sexual favors and naked photographs. The oversexed State Trooper drew attention to himself, when his superiors noticed him turning off his microphone and flirting with women he pulled over for suspected drunken driving. Lee was feeling invincible for a good reason. Years earlier, in 2009, he was caught turning off his microphone and failing to issue speeding tickets to fellow troopers. Lee joked with his buddies, after they sped by on their motorcycles at nearly 150 mph. His punishment was limited to a one-day unpaid suspension . Lee was also investigated for sexually harassing a woman, after she filed a complaint. On November 19, 2010, Lee stopped a female driver, who wrecked her car. He accused the motoris...

NATO intercepts 19 Russian military aircraft, fighter jets scrambled in response

Image
NATO detected and monitored four groups of Russian military aircraft, conducting significant military maneuvers in European airspace on October 28 and 29, 2014. These sizable Russian flights took place over the Baltic Sea, North Sea/Atlantic Ocean and Black Sea. These activities represent an unusual level of air activity over European airspace. Fighter aircraft from Norway, Britain, Portugal, Germany and Turkey were scrambled in response. Tensions between Russia and NATO countries have soared over the Ukraine crisis. Russia initially denied that its military played a part in the unlawful annexation of Crimea. Putin later admitted that the Russian military did indeed participate in the incursion. Similar denials are now being uttered with respect to Russia’s Hamas-like activities in Ukraine, while the deaths of Russian soldiers are being willfully concealed . As the West continues to press on with sanctions against Russia, the wounded bear is attempting to assert its might with milita...
